Interpreting services are delivered by an elite team of trained, experienced, fully bilingual, HIPAA-certified interpreters who passionately serve healthcare providers in New Mexico with meeting the linguistic access needs of their patients.   Providers contact LHA with location, date and time the interpreters are needed, and confirm patient appointments the day prior to the appointment.  They travel to medical appointments to provide their services on-site, assist patients with paperwork, such as family history and listing symptoms, and other check-in procedures.  Interpreters then remain until the appointment is completed and a new one has been scheduled.   Their in-depth understanding of the patients' culture offers a providers a unique view into the influences of patients' cultures to better understand motivations, understanding and lifestyle practices.
